How To Make A Man Want You - 2 Secrets That Will Make Him Increase His Attraction For You

Do you want to make your boyfriend want you more? Would you like to increase the attraction he has for you? If you're stuck when it comes to keeping a man's interest after the first few dates and would like to really take things to the next level with your current boyfriend, pay close attention here.
Making a man commit is no easy task. It begins with making him attracted to you and then creating a connection with him. Once you've created a connection with him, you'll have to make him obsessed with you. Men are naturally commitment phobic. They have irrational reasons as to why they don't want to commit. You can't do anything to change that.
But instead, you can change the way a man really feels about you. By doing so, you'll help him realize that you're more important than anything else. Once he knows this fact, he'll get over his commitment phobia and completely commit to you. At every state in the relationship, you need to do something that'll increase the attraction he has for you. Without attraction, there's no relationship.
Here are the secrets to increase his attraction for you and make him want you...
Be unaffected - Almost in every single relationship whether it's personal or business, the one who reacts the least is the one in control. You can consider all relationships to be of staring contents. Who can make the other person blink first? Your ability to be unaffected by another person will help make you have an effect on others.
At all times in the relationship, you must maintain an attitude that says this. You need to look unaffected by your behaviors. If he doesn't call, you're cool with it. You don't accept him completely. You disapprove of it by ignoring his calls and making him crawl back to you.
Empathize with him - Most men walk around without being understood by anybody on the planet. Since women are emotional and intuitive, they are able to share themselves with other women more freely. But men are unable to do so. A woman is the only one who can make a man open up at any situation. As a woman, it is your job to empathize and understand him completely.
If your goal is to influence him into your way of thinking (commitment), you need to first understand. In order to have influence, you must understand first. You need to get into his shoes and really understand his perspective. It's going to be hard work because you'll need to listen to everything he has to say. But it's well worth it because it'll help you create the connection from which you can make him commit to you.
Here's How To Make Any Man Obsessed With You - There's an extremely effective ultra rare method which will make any man addicted to you. You'll be able to attract any man and make him completely obsessed with you if you do this right

Do animals love each other?

A Different Kind Of Truth - What Is Love?

If animals had what we humans called feelings, then perhaps the actions they take could be defined as love. A mommy chimp is often seen carrying around her baby in a way not at all dissimilar to a human mom. She may move instinctively if not thoughtfully, but she still manages to "show" love for her baby. Baby chimp clings tightly to mommy in a way that would suggest familiarity, he knows he is secure. Animals don't want anything materialistic from each other, indeed they have no materials. They take care of each other, because it is in their nature to survive and ensure the continuance for that particular species.
Why do we love our children? Is it because they seem to show us unconditional love? Or is it because we know instinctively, that their love is pure and unfiltered by adult ego and ambition?
With that said, where does love come from? Or from where should the love you feel come? What is the source of love?
As I have come to understand it, the source of love comes from our need to survive. We started socializing around fires for cooking, playing and surviving of Homo sapiens as a species. We are stronger in numbers; and that which connects us together is known as a mutual love for one another. On the most basic of level, love is the feeling which assures our survival.
If you look at love as an action, then you can understand how humans can survive on it. Love will make you take care of the very young, and the very old in your family; Love will make you take care of your mate. The more people you have loving you visa vise looking out for you, the stronger your chances of surviving and thriving.
The love most of us experience today, seems to come from the Ego. We have taken ourselves out of our wild environment, we have gained so much in material wealth. Now love is so confusing, some of us think love owes something to us, that we deserve to feel that good feeling. I love him because he can buy me anything, I love her because she is gorgeous. I love him because he makes me feel good about myself, I love her because I am afraid and alone.
We love because we need to, we love because we know it is our just inheritance. Our love for each other was born of survival, please don't let it die of too much onslaught from that pesky thing we call Ego.
True love can have no Ego

YOU Make Me So Angry! Really?

Stop and think about it. If someone else can really make you angry, who is in control? You, or the other person? Do you really want to be like water pushed around with every shifting current, or would you rather be that solid rock that forces negativity and irritations around you? Now, how do you achieve this new found strength and stability?
First, you have to realize who you are. Not an easy task, so let's get started. Write a list of what makes you happy, children, time alone, your spouse, running, etc., you get the idea. For the next 7 days, when you feel an issue making you angry, think about one of the items on your list and focus on it. Now that wasn't so hard.
Next step. Over the next 7 days keep a list of when you get upset, either a mental note or write them down. Note especially how you feel when you are getting upset. Are there any noticeable triggers or buttons that are being pushed by the other person? If you can isolate them you are on your way to controlling your response.
A long time ago, my eight year old son came home from school telling me how everyone was picking on him in his class. After a short conversation, I tried to explain the story of the tied up goat. I told him that if you don't let others know where your goat is tied up they can't get at it. He assured me that he understood what I was trying to tell him so I left figuring I had solved another major life issue for him. A few hours later my wife asked, 'when did we get a goat?' I said we hadn't and asked her why? She said after my talk with our son, he had spent a lot of time running around the house 'looking for the goat that was tied up'. Needless to say I had some explaining to do to our son. He turned out rather well in spite of his father's shortcomings. He is now a successful neurologist.
That opens up to my third exercise and this is important. Remember, that we are all human. We all have good points. We all have bad points. We all have strengths. We all have weaknesses. People can and many times will 'say' things that might hurt you, but only if you allow it to hurt you. You will go where your heart and mind lead you. People will either help or hinder you in this journey. So you must learn to control your reactions to any given situation. For the next 3 weeks spend some time trying to figure out who you are, what triggers wrong reactions in you, and above all, remember that we are all human. Now go have some fun in life.

Are Your Relationships Keeping You From Becoming Your Best Self?

When we truly put effort into improving ourselves and making positive changes in our lives, how we are currently living is bound to change in at least one, and most likely, several ways. Sometimes, these changes are a natural byproduct of our efforts and sometimes, we need to specifically make certain changes to support our newly outlined goals and desires. One area that is likely to be affected for many of us is our relationships, whether they are with our friends, family, co-workers or romantic partners. The changes that can occur here can certainly be scary and uncomfortable, and for many, they can be a major impediment to becoming our best selves and truly shaping our life as we want it to be. The people we surround ourselves with are a major influence on our behavior, beliefs and ways of thinking, for better or for worse.

Once you embark on the journey of bettering yourself and making positive changes in your life, it may become glaringly obvious that some of the relationships you have in your life will not help you on this journey, but hold you back. If you are working on becoming a different person, you need to be prepared for the fact that you may outgrow some of your current relationships now or in some cases need to make a firm decision to cut off ties with certain people who will derail your efforts. This is not to say that you should cut off everyone who thinks differently than you or does not share your same goals and outlook on life. I maintain relationships with plenty of people who view the world differently than I do and it is not a problem. I am talking about the relationships that bring out the worst in you rather than the best, the relationships that drain your energy, the relationships that get you off track with your efforts to better yourself and cause you to spend your time unwisely, the relationships that keep you stuck in a place you no longer want to be.

If the only tie you have to a certain friend is your love of getting black-out drunk on the weekend and you decide you no longer want to drink alcohol, you will likely need to move away from this person if that is the only thing you have in common. If the only connection you have to certain co-workers is gossiping about other people in the office and bitching about your job, and you are making an effort to reduce negative talk, you will need to do something about that. If you decide that you are going to turn your life around, go back to school and pursue your dream job, and your boyfriend is content to keep living the life you can no longer stand, this relationship is no longer working for you.

These types of changes can be scary. Some of the worst influences in your life may be the people who have been in it the longest. In some instances, you will be able to maintain relationships with some of these people and it will not impact you too heavily. In some cases, these relationships will undergo major changes or need to end altogether. When it comes down to it, only you can determine what needs to be done. You need to take a hard honest look at the different relationships in your life, how they make you feel, how they make you act, how they influence your efforts at changing your circumstances. It may sadden you to think of these types of changes and that is natural. But change is the only constant in our life and no aspect of our existence is immune to this influence, including our relationships.

People often ask me what materials I have used to develop the mindset I currently possess. Well, there have been a lot, but the first piece of material that really resonated with me and actually carried me from just reading about techniques to improve my life to actually using them was Bob Doyle's Wealth Beyond Reason Program. Learn how to utilize the law of attraction for your benefit, not your detriment.

I have also authored the book ''Passing on Parenthood: A Childfree Woman Speaks Out", a great read for the childfree, the undecided and even parents and those who are sure they want kids in the future. Some food for thought for everyone in there.

Is Your Child A Cyberbully?

It seems that all young people today are attached to an electronic device most of their waking hours. This is a growing trend and goes along with the rise of smartphones, iPods, tablet computers and the like. Cyberbulling is the dark side of this technological trend, and affects nearly half the young people aged 10-24. That's a lot of kids falling victim to this growing epidemic. With that large number of victims, it stands to reason that there are a lot of perpetrators. If you are not familiar with this growing problem, this is a very good time to learn what it is all about to enable you to recognise if someone you know is a victim of this growing trend.

If you suspect that your child might be a cyberbully what should you do? You should make sure of your facts and sit down with your young person and have a heart to heart talk about what it means and the extreme negative effect it can have on the victims. If your young person is going through difficulties and is acting out aggressively due to this problem, some counseling may be in order. Get your child the help he or she needs to control his or her anger issues and resolve them in a positive and benign way. Share with your young person the statistics on cyberbullying and its relationship to teen suicide attempts and other negative connotations of his actions. Let your young person know that he/she is harming someone emotionally and that they could face dire consequences if they are found to be a culprit. He could be banned from all social networks, email accounts and worse. If your child is convicted of cyberbullying, he could face legal ramifications, fines and even imprisonment depending upon the severity of his or her actions.

This activity of bullying others is harmful and negative, and if you find your child involved in it, take care to put a stop to it before someone is harmed beyond repair. A cyberbully should always be taken seriously and dealt with sternly and swiftly. Do not turn away if you think your young person may be a bully. As a parent, it is your responsibility to protect your child, but it is also your responsibility to teach them right from wrong.

the act of bullying of any form should be taken very seriously before it escalates to doing someone permanent psychological or physical harm.

The Social Nature of Bullying

It's been in the news a lot lately, but the reality of bullying is as old as the human race. The impact on the victim can be quite serious, including loss of self-esteem, shame, poor performance in school, depression, physical manifestations of stress, and suicide. Social and emotional development can be badly affected, problems which can persist into later life.

It can be thought of as a social phenomenon, in that it is often participated in by groups, and supported by the behaviors of other people. There are six roles that can be described when looking at these situations: the victim, the bully, the bully's reinforcer, the bully's assistant, the defender of the victim, and the outsider.

Reinforcers are those who support the bully by cheering, laughing, or drawing attention to the situation, but who do not actively join in. The assistant, sometimes called the henchman, participate but do not take a leadership role. The defender speaks out openly in defense of the victim, and may come to his or her aid. The outsider does not get involved on either side, believing that it is none of his or her business.

Both genders may be bullies, but their techniques vary. Girls tend to be more verbally abusive, while boys more often use physical intimidation. Both boys and girls are more likely to bully within their own gender. In terms of the other participant roles, one study found that girls were more often defenders and outsiders, while boys were more often bullies, reinforcers, and assistants. However, no generalization can apply to any specific instance, and

These social factors are relevant because it is becoming increasingly clear that bullying is most successfully combated by empowering kids to stand up to bullies, both when being bullied themselves and when they see other kids being bullied. By focusing on the social aspect, a broader, social-based approach to regulation can be achieved, which is more effective than targeting individual bullies and victims for intervention. Of course, there should be consequences for bullies, and victims should receive whatever assistance they need, including counseling. A shift in attitude, however, can only come from within the peer group.

Bullies seek to earn or maintain a certain status, so if other kids refuse to assign them that status, the behavior is less likely to continue. Outsiders and defenders can be better influenced to change their behavior than active participants, and, as the largest element of the social group, a change from them carries a lot of weight in shifting attitudes. The lack of support may not lead to a change in the bully's actions, but the feeling of support can be quite beneficial to the victim.

When the victim feels supported by his or her peers, he or she will begin to feel more empowered to stand up to the bully. If outsiders can become defenders, and if reinforcers cease to encourage the behavior, then a change in culture results that is inhospitable to bullies. In order for this change to take place, kids need to feel that they won't lose their own status in the group. Adults can help by providing clear, firm rules that bullying will not be tolerated.

Keep Autism at Bay With Right Diet

The prevalence of "Autism" is increasing day by day. Autism spectrum disorder is only detected after 1-2 years of age and there is no indication that your child might be autistic before this age. Some of the factors that are increasing the chances of the child becoming Autistic may be due to changing lifestyle, imbalanced diet, canned processed food, stress, vaccinations, also increased habit of smoking and drinking especially in women. As old belief goes "PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE" Autism can be prevented by being little cautious and leading a healthy life style.

Precaution starts from day you start planning for a child. The moment you start planning start Folic acid supplement (dosage as per your physician's advice), folic acid is one of the major vitamin which helps prevent neural defects. Next utmost important step to be taken is STOP SMOKING AND HARD DRINKS. Avoid junk food, canned processed food, aerated drinks and canned juices. Avoid red meat and minimize non vegetarian diet, include fresh water fish to other sources of sea food. Drink plenty of water minimum 2.5 to 3 liters of water a day. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Include nuts and seeds like Brazilian nut, hazelnut, walnut, pecans, almonds, flaxseeds, sesame seeds, black dates in your daily routine.

Once you conceive, make sure you eat a balanced diet in terms of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Of course need for each nutrient increases and is different in different trimester of pregnancy. Consult a Qualified Nutritionist who will guide you through your pregnancy. Try to do activities that keep you happy and help you sleep well, take care of your self, avoid high heels - be cautious don't get into an accident. And DO NOT FORGET "NO SMOKING AND HARD DRINKS".

Post delivery; make sure you BREAST FEED your child for one year. As Breast Milk is the best and a complete Nutrients available to your infant. Do not self diet to lose weight and get in shape, while you are breast feeding your child. Eat a well balanced diet, consult a Nutritionist she will advise you. Remember what you eat will go to your child through breast milk. When your child is six months old introduce food in their diet along with Breast feeding; your child is growing and only breast milk will not suffice their needs. A Qualified Nutritionist will be the right person to advice the food that suits your baby.

Feed your child a balanced home cooked food till they are 7 year old. Do not introduce junk food, aerated drinks, canned, ready to eat processed food till the age of 7 years. This will help improve their immunity and help build a strong healthy base for a healthy life ahead.

10 Reasons Not to Discuss Child Sexual Abuse in 2012

I have heard them all. I have heard all the reasons why parents don't discuss child sexual abuse prevention with their children. I have heard them so often that I can recite them by heart. As the new year approaches, I decided it would be a good idea to memorialize the top 10 reasons for not discussing the subject. I invite you to add any that may have been omitted.

1. Children are seldom victims of this crime. Actually, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, in the United States, 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys is sexually abused by the time they are 18. Consider those numbers for a moment. They are shocking and devastating. Those figures alone should motivate parents to seek out prevention strategies.

2. This kind of thing doesn't happen where we live. Actually, this crime has no socio-economic boundaries. It doesn't care if you are black or white, rich or poor or what religion you practice. It can creep in when you least expect it.

3. We don't let our children go near strangers. Actually, 93% of all child sexual abuse occurs at the hands of someone known to the child and trusted by the parents. Even if a child is never around strangers, he or she could be victimized by a neighbor, a coach, a religious official or family member. Parents who teach only stranger danger are doing a disservice to their child.

4. My child is not old enough for this discussion. Actually, the appropriate age to discuss child sex abuse prevention is when a child is three years old. The conversation can start as simply as "Did you know that the parts of your body covered by a bathing suit are private and are for no one else to see or touch?" Continue the conversation by explaining to the child that he should tell Mommy, Daddy or a teacher if someone touches him on those private parts. Be sure to include any necessary exceptions for potty training, hygiene and doctor visits.

5. I don't want to scare my child. Actually, when handled properly, children find the message empowering and are not frightened at all. Parents do not refrain from teaching traffic safety for fear that their child will be afraid to cross the street. So too should we address the subject of body safety.

6. I would know if something happened to my child. Actually, child sexual abuse is difficult to detect because frequently there are no physical signs of abuse. The emotional and behavioral signs that may accompany sexual abuse can be caused by a variety of triggers.

7. My child would tell me if something happened to him. Actually, most children do not immediately disclose when they have been sexually abused. Contrary to a child who falls down and runs over to tell his parents, a child who has been sexually abused is likely being told not to tell anyone because no one will believe him, that people will say it is his fault, that the disclosure will cause great sadness in the family and that the behavior is their little secret.

8. We never leave our child alone with adults. Actually, children can be sexually abused by other children. The very same lessons that can help prevent children from being sexually abused by adults, can keep them safe from other children. Teach children what touch is appropriate and what is inappropriate, teach them the proper terminology for their private parts and teach them who they can talk to if anyone touches them in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable.

9. I don't want to put thoughts in her head. Actually, there is no data to indicate that a child who has been taught about child sexual abuse prevention is more likely to fabricate that they have been sexually abused. According to Victor Vieth, director of the National Child Protection Training Center at Winona State University, "Children do lie, but seldom about being abused. All human beings can and do lie, but it's hard for kids to do it about sex. They can't lie about something they have no knowledge of," he said, "and children don't learn about oral sex on Sesame Street."

10. It's not going to happen to my child. Actually, as the statistics reveal, child sexual abuse is so pervasive that it could happen to any child. This reason is the catch-all. Educated, loving parents have actually said this to me. If one were to ask any parent whose child has been sexually abused if they thought their child would ever be sexually abused, I can guarantee each one would say no. No one wants to believe this could happen to their child. We need to stop denying that it could happen and recognize that there are ways to prevent it from happening. Make the decision to talk to your child about sexual abuse prevention in 2012. It could be the greatest gift you ever give them. Have a safe and healthy New Year.

How To Find The Best Basement Waterproofing Contractor

Basements suffer water problems and water damage -- it's a fact of life. Basement waterproofing can prevent leaks from excessive rain, malfunctioning gutters, snow melt, or even in extreme circumstances a sewer line or water main bursting near your basement. Whatever the source, water coming into your basement is a problem for a lot of different reasons, and calling upon a team of professional basement waterproofing contractors is always a good idea whenever you find excess moisture in your cellar.

Why You Need Basement Waterproofing

Your basement is underground. (If it isn't, you have a very strange definition of 'basement'.) The problem is that water naturally flows through the ground. Add to that the fact that generally, your home's water heater and other water-reliant appliances reside in the basement, and you have water danger both inside and outside of your basement walls.

Ambient moisture in your basement is one thing, but if it reaches the point of standing water -- even in barely-detectible amounts -- you have other serious problems. Wood warping, metal rusting, mold and mildew growing, and fabric rotting are all on the agenda when that happens.

How to Find a Basement Waterproofing Team

The best time to look for a basement waterproofer is now. Even if you don't think you have any problems with your basement, getting it checked over by a professional once a year (or every couple of years if you live in a dry area) is just good, proactive home ownership. You might not need the full waterproofing treatment right away, but when you do start noticing musty smells or hearing trickling in the middle of the night, you'll be glad you have a relationship with a basement waterproofing crew.

The things to look for are fairly straightforward:

- A current license to do business as a waterproofing contractor.

- Bonded and insured workers who have the means to handle the situation if something goes pear-shaped in the middle of a job.

- A crew who can handle a variety of different waterproofing techniques. If they can't explain to you the difference between an interior French drain, a foundation wrap, and a basic crack sealing, you probably don't want them working on your basement.

- Of course, you want a crew that does emergency calls and has the basic emergency tools like a sump pump and hazmat suits. It's one thing to be able to seal a basement with a few microscopic cracks; it's another to help a client recover from a sewer main dumping straight into the cellar.

- And finally, you want a crew that is available and at a reasonable rate. There's no point in getting to know a crew that will charge you twice as much as the other guys but only have one team on call at any time -- what happens if someone else has an emergency an hour earlier on the same night?

Basement waterproofing contractors are everywhere, but that doesn't mean they're a dime a dozen -- they perform a necessary and often quite valuable service. Put the work in now to find the waterproofers that are right for you, and you'll be quite glad when the time comes that you need them to come over in the middle of the night.

Organize Your Family

In order to implement an organization system that would work for your family, it is important to determine what stress you the most and why.

Do you get stress in the mornings because nobody can seem to get out of the door on time and with everything they need?

If this is the case, there are a few things you can do to lower your morning stress level: Leave things ready the night before:

a) Have a place by the door where the kids can leave their backpacks and shoes, and you can leave anything that you need to take with you the following day.

b) Get lunches ready before going to bed.

c) Set clothes and jewelry out before you turn in for the night.

d) Get up before everybody else.

Do you get stress in the evening, when you come home after being all day at work and have some many things to attend to in a very limited amount of time?

On this case, get organized over the weekend and follow a schedule to get things done when you get home.

a) Take time over the weekend to plan an easy menu for the week and to do all the necessary shopping.

b) You can make recipes that can be frozen and when you get home is just a matter of heating them up and serve.

c) Take time on Sunday to plan your family's schedule, so you know where everybody needs to be, at what time, and how they are getting to and from.

d) Plan a week's worth of outfits, so it is one less thing to do every evening.

Do you get stress over the weekend, when you are trying to get seven or more days of work in two days?

a) If this is the case, take deep breaths; know what you need to do and how you are going to get it done in advance will cut some anxiety.

b) Do not try to be perfect, remember to enjoy your family and do the most important things first, that way if something does not get done the item will be low on the importance list and you can get it done later.

c) Enlist your family's help. If you are less stress, it will benefit everybody.

These are just a couple of examples, the point is you must identify your stressor first and then decide what would make it better.

Once you're organized, maintain the order; put things away every night. If you work organization into your routine, it'll become second nature instead of a chore.

The Best Method for Putting Your Cross-Stitch in a Frame

The very first thing you should do to frame a cross-stitch is to think about the art itself and then select a frame and mat design that will go with it. The proper frame can turn a cross-stitched piece into a treasured heirloom. Does it need a simple picture frame, or might a jeweled ornate picture frame be better? Personal taste definitely comes into play, as well as the design of the room in which it will be hung.

When you've selected your mat or mats, you'll need to cut out a backing the same size as your mats. Backing can be made out of matboard or maybe foam-core. You'll want to cut a square window in the backing you have chosen, making it about a quarter inch bigger on every side of the mat window. Place double sided stitchery tape all around the edges of the cutout piece; this will eventually be the back side.

Connect the backing that has the hole cut out of it to the chosen mat using the double sided tape.

Center the cross-stitch in the opening, then press the cutout into the window (the side which doesn't have the stitchery should be facing the back of the cross-stitched piece.) It might take a few attempts to get the piece centered properly in the very center.

Pick a corner that appears just about how you want your completed piece to look, and then start to pull the material through the back and stick it to the stitchery tape which is on the back. Begin at that very first corner and make your way all the way around. It is likely that you will have to keep shifting certain parts of the piece, pulling on each place multiple times until it is just the way you want it. Whenever you are finished you can use framing tape to adhere the backing to the window. Cut out a piece of scrap mat that you can fit across the whole back of the piece.

Lastly, fit the "package" directly into your selected picture frame and secure it. Use craft paper to back the frame and then attach your choice of hanger, either a sawtooth hanger or eyehooks and some picture wire.

Whether or Not to Use Glass

The climate and the location in your house where this piece is going to be hung have a great deal to do with coming up with the decision as to whether or not you should use glass, commonly referred to as glazing in the framing circle. You ought to use glass if you are living in a pretty dry climate. Accumulation of dust can significantly affect the fabric of an unglazed piece of cross-stitch.

If you're going to hang up your piece where conditions may be humid, like in a bathroom or perhaps your kitchen, you should definitely glaze the cross-stitch and seal it up securely. Your material may often be horribly damaged when the humidity is high in the area it is hung in. When a piece is not sealed well this can result in condensation forming on the glass which can eventually lead to troubles with mold and mildew.

If you are living in a humid climate and never get a dry day where relative humidity is under 20%, it can be hard if not impossible to create a sealed frame package that won't have moisture issues. In fact for this reason, framing professionals create rooms in which the humidity is controlled. So if your climate is like this, you should probably take your cross-stitch to a framing professional so that they can seal it, or else simply leave it unglazed. If you do leave it unglazed, try to avoid hanging it in your kitchen where airborne grease and other oils could ruin your fabric.

So do not forget to use these tips and you'll surely treasure your splendidly preserved cross-stitch for many years to come.

How To Secure Your Sheds

Gone are the days when sheds were only used for storing low value bits and bobs. Nowadays, people might store valuable belongings in their sheds. Items such as lawnmowers, tools and even petrol scooters are often put inside for safekeeping. The problem is that thieves have become wise to this, and will often target sheds for their rich pickings. Sheds are, with some justification, seen as easy pickings.

So security is important, but how best to secure your sheds? The first and most obvious place to start is to add a hasp and staple or pad bolt to be used in conjunction with a sturdy padlock. Pick the biggest padlock your shed's construction will support, and ensure that mounting screws are well secured. Ideally, use clutch head screws that are specially designed to only screw one way - any thief visiting complete with screwdriver will find himself out of luck. A sturdy lock, then, will provide a first line of defence, but even the best are easily overcome with a crowbar, so more defences should be considered when securing your sheds.

When your shed has a window, it is important to make sure that it can be securely locked from the inside. It may be worth considering the addition of window locks for additional security. If the window is made of perspex, replacing it with glass may provide additional security. If nothing else, it's more likely to deter a thief because of the danger of being cut, and of course, breaking glass will make an unwelcome - for the thief - noise.

The best defence is deterrent, and there are some simple tips to make your shed less desirable to thieves. Cover windows to prevent anyone from looking in to check for booty in the first place. Cut back any shrubs and undergrowth around the shed that might provide convenient cover for the prospective thief. Infrared security lights can be a great deterrent, too. No thief wants to be spotlit while carrying out their illicit nocturnal activities. These lights can be purchased cheaply and, in most cases, installation is a simple DIY task.

If someone does gain access to your shed, your last line of defence is to scare them off. A portable battery operated siren with and infrared sensor may be just enough to scare off the thief. These are operated when the sensor picks up movement, and can emit a sound loud enough to deter all but the most determined thief. It wouldn't harm, either, to add a sticker to the shed door or window advertising the presence of the alarm.

Finally, shed construction has advanced significantly in recent years. If your current shed is reaching the end of its useful life, consider replacing it with one of metal construction which will add an extra level of security.

What to Do With Kids - Fun Things That Won't Break Your Budget

With money tight, parents find themselves stretching every dollar; parents are wondering what to do with kids. Entertaining kids outside the home is expensive. Finding activities for the family is a challenge unless you have an unlimited budget. Most of us are not that fortunate. A simple outing at the bowling alley can set you back a hundred bucks or more by the time you pay for a few games, shoe rental, drinks and snacks. Taking the kids to see a movie is similar in cost. Do you find yourself wondering what to do with kids? The simple addition of a fire pit outside on the patio will open up new and exciting things to do at home with kids. For about the same amount of money that a single camping trip in the forest will cost, you can own a fire pit. This one-time investment will be spread out over many years and provide countless evenings of healthy family camaraderie.

Fire pits are readily available in many varieties and types. My preference is a wood burning fire pit because it brings the campfire home with all the wonderful benefits. Propane fire pits are also available, they have their advantages but they tend to be a bit pricier and you have the propane bottles to deal with. Either type will to the trick. Whether you choose a wood burning fire pit or a propane model, always monitor its use with children present and practice all appropriate safety precautions. Never leave a fire pit burning unattended.

Most fire pits are shipped complete with no assembly required. Once yours arrives at the door, within minutes you'll have your very own fire pit outside on the patio. The list of things to do at home with kids just got longer.

Most kids love to make campfire treats called s'mores. These wonderful little treats are believed to have been first created by campers around the turn of the 20th century. This was about the time that marshmallows were becoming popular and available commercially. Making S'mores is also a time honored tradition from the early days of scouting. The first official recipe was published in the 1927 Girl Scout Handbook. They are made by roasting a marshmallow in the traditional way over the open flame. Once the marshmallow is roasted to your liking, simply sandwich it between two graham crackers and a square of chocolate bar. Always supervise children when making these treats. Roasted marshmallows are hot and caution needs to be used when handling them.

Almost every kid loves to go camping. With your own fire pit you and your kids can go camping in the backyard. Like camping in the woods, camping in the backyard comes with the benefits many memorable benefits. The advantage is that you don't have to pack up the car and travel for hours. Camping at a campsite or in the forest is a wonderful thing to do. It is, however, expensive and time consuming. Many times a camping trip requires a long drive after work. By the time you arrive at your campsite it is already dark and you still have to unload the car and set up camp. While this is a wonderful adventure, it is not possible to spend the necessary time and money on a regular basis. You can however, plan a backyard camping activity on the spur of the moment and with little expense. With a portable bonfire pit, a camp tent, sleeping bags and a few camping supplies, you can transform the backyard into a genuine campsite complete with a campfire and all of its therapeutic benefits.

If you are in a neighborhood where the homes are close, consideration should be given to your neighbors. Kids will get loud and could disturb them. If possible include them. If they have children, suggest that you make it a neighborly backyard camping trip. The kids can play just as they would in the woods and the grownups can divvy up the cooking duties. One family cooks dinner and another does the breakfast. To make your backyard camping trip most enjoyable, make sure to cook the traditional foods that you would if you were in the forest. This really brings the camping experience home.

Sitting around the bonfire pit telling stories and jokes is a traditional favorite. Story's told around a campfire make lasting memories. Laugh and poke fun at each other. With this much fun and frivolity, you'll ask yourself why you ever wondered what to do with kids.

Activities for the family take a little thought and preparation. The time, money and effort spent finding things to do with kids will pay off in close knit camaraderie between parent and kids. Taking the time to create this interaction will create a bond that will likely carry families through the difficult teenage years. Eventually your kids will grow up and become parents. It is almost certain that they will remember your commitment to finding fun activities for the family. Backyard camping will likely become a tradition and you will be honored with a few backyard camping outings with your grandkids. Consider getting a portable bonfire pit and expand your list of things to do at home with kids. With your new fire pit you won't have time to wonder what to do with kids anymore, you will know.

Money Management Tips for High School Students

Did you know that the average college student graduates with $4100 in credit card debt? This does NOT include tuition and books. Now is an excellent time to teach money management tips to your high school student to ensure responsible spending when they leave the nest and enter college.

My first tip is to open a checking/savings account for your kid. This will allow them to start to learn the basics of money management. Many institutions offer a service that notifies you via email or text message if the account falls below a certain balance. Set the threshold high enough that you don't get caught with overdraft fees. You want to teach your kid how to manage money - but you don't want it to cost YOU money! If your kid falls below the threshold - charge him an overdraft fee.

Next, I would set him up with a debit card. It's often difficult to manage money when you are able to withdraw funds anytime you want. Plus, the balance shown at the ATM is not always up-to-date. It is important for your student to understand that checks written do not post immediately. Also, ATMs can charge withdrawal fees. Plus, most gas stations will allow overdrafts if you pay at the pump, but will not accept a debit card inside if there are insufficient funds. All of these scenarios can cause the inexperienced money manager to overdraft their account. Again, chose an institution that notifies you when the balance is low - so you can teach the life lesson without paying for it!

Another strategy that can be implemented while your student is still in high school is to create a budget. How much do they earn at their part-time job? How much do they anticipate receiving for holiday and/or graduation gifts? What are their expenses? Once you create the budget, make a point to revisit this budget each month and revise as needed. This revision process will allow you to help your kid begin to plan for big expenses (college books) and decide how much to put away each week in savings.

Utilizing these tips will assist your student in becoming a better money manager and hopefully keep them from adding to the growing college student debt. It is important to remember this is a process. Budgeting is a learned skill. There will be bumps along the way - but the experience will pay off in the end.

Advice For Every Mom And Dad

Every parent wants to make sure that they are raising their kids properly and that they're doing everything that they can to be the best parents that they can. But no matter how much we may already know, doesn't there always seem to be more to learn?

If you'd like some additional insight into a number of different tricks and tips that will help you on your way to becoming a better parent then you will want to read this article. These concepts are hand-picked and you will find that they are quite beneficial.

Don't Forget About Enjoying Sex When You're Pregnant

It's easier to be good parents when you don't feel stressed out. Even so, having sex may be one of the last things that you feel like doing if you're pregnant or recently gave birth. However, research shows that sex is not only beneficial to your health it also strengthens your heart and relieves stress.

In addition it tends to strengthen relationships between mothers and fathers during times of stress. So, even if you have to schedule it in, make time for having sex a priority in your life.

Make Meal Time a Fun Time For Your Kids

You should make meal time a time for fun for your children and there are a number of different ways that you can accomplish this goal. First, you could serve their food on a "fun" plate. In addition you can cut their food into a lot of different and interesting shapes.

They say that "variety is the spice of life" and this holds true for kids, too. With that in mind, you should also serve food that has different textures, colors and flavors to your kids.

With all of this in mind, you should make sure that you don't force your kids to eat when they're at the dinner table. The reason this is so important is that if you force them to eat you may condition them to over eat when they get older.

So, if you don't install the need within them to have to start or stop eating at any particular time you could prevent your children from becoming obese as they get older.

Tell The Truth

Children follow the examples that their parents set. So if you place a high premium on telling the truth then you have to ensure that your kids see that you practice what you preach. This means not lying to your friends, employer, or family members when your children are around.

Because your actions are speaking louder than your words, if your kids catch you lying they will doubt what you tell them in the future. And telling lies will be the behavior that they emulate.

Make Sure Your Children Spend Time Outdoors

A lot of kids seem to spend most of their time playing video games or watching TV. It's important that your children get fresh air and exercise. And nothing is more fun to kids than playing on the new outdoor playsets that have recently come on the market. Some look like forts while others look like castles.

In addition to getting exercise the kids play who on these playsets are using their imagination, which will only help them to become more successful in life.

If One of Your Early Relations Died of It, Will You Too?

A birth records check is carried out for many differing purposes. One of the most common being a search for the record of a person's birth. It's a subject that is quite exiting for most people. Just the thought of trying to find out things that in all probability they themselves have little or no recollection of.

It is always interesting to take a look at the history of your own father and mother for example. I'm sure that if most people were aware of the escapades their own parents had been up to they would be quite taken aback. "Did Dad really do that?!" In most cases he probably did and a lot more besides.

Yes, getting to know your parents can be quite an eye-opening experience.

Other reasons to conduct a birth records check could be for something much deeper. Some people are enthralled by the past history of themselves and their relations. Some even believing they have lived before and hope to discover something in their search that will throw some light on their beliefs.

In addition to the more popular reasons for seeking out their birth records, other factors can be at play here. It is a known fact and scientifically proven that your eventual demise can sometimes be attributed to the genes of your forebears. In other words, if, say, heart attacks were a common occurrence within your past family immediate circle, then it stands to reason, being that you might be next in the queue, you would want to know about it. This timely knowledge would undoubtedly give you the incentive in taking steps to avert the same thing happening to you.

If you do take it into your head to put a birth records search into action You will find that, as with most things, there is an easy way and a hard way of doing things. There is the usual foot slogging way, there you approach the authorities concerned, adoption agencies, orphans homes, what ever and plead your case. This can be difficult as such institutions do not take lightly to giving out the kind of information you may be seeking. Also the case may be that the person related to the birth records in question, may have expressed a desire for their privacy in the matter to be respected.

In recent times the attitude towards giving out certain types of information has relaxed, making it easier to come across the birth records you are seeking online. There has been in fact a leaning towards what is called open adoptions. In these cases the parties involved are known to each other, thus, the exchange of information between the participating party's is not a big problem.
